It is always a great time photographing Lainey, and her spring senior session was no exception! This time, she and her family invited me to their beautiful property for a personalized senior photo session that perfectly reflected her interests, personality, and future career goals.


As a cosmetology student, Lainey wanted to incorporate elements of her passion into her senior pictures. She brought along her styling chair and several cosmetology accessories, which made for some fun and creative senior portraits. I loved being able to experiment with different props, add and remove elements throughout the session, and find unique angles that showcased both her personality and her accomplishments.


One of the highlights of the afternoon was exploring the property and making our way down to the creek. The natural scenery provided a beautiful backdrop for her photos and added a variety of looks to her senior gallery. From wooded areas to open spaces, we were able to take advantage of everything the property had to offer.


Lately, I have been focusing on incorporating more direct sunlight into my photography sessions, and this senior session was the perfect opportunity to do just that. We found a beautiful clearing near the creek that was completely bathed in sunlight. While many photographers shy away from shooting in full sun, the light worked perfectly for Lainey and created some of my favorite images from the entire session. The way the sunlight highlighted her features and brought warmth to the photos was absolutely stunning.


This session was a wonderful reminder that senior pictures should be personal, creative, and reflective of who each senior is during this exciting season of life. I am so grateful to have worked with Lainey again and to capture these memories as she prepares for graduation and the next chapter ahead.
