2023 Senior Thesis Work

There is something about freezing moments in time and being able to relive them later. I grew up in a rural area and lived on a farm so when I started taking pictures it was of my pets, the farm, and my family. My sense of place has always had profound meaning in my life. Because of this, I have always noticed how elements in an environment have repeating rhythmic patterns. Desensitized by our modern surroundings, it’s hard to see our relationships with nature. In my journey, I find peace with the world’s natural elements. This process is unique to me; I can escape by paying attention to the details around me. Through this exploration, I have created prints that explore the rhythm, scale, and texture that occur naturally, to reveal the truth and connection that may be lost.

These three prints have been printed on aluminum at 24x36 inches.
