The Midwest Youth Rodeo Season officially came to a close last Sunday in Cloverdale, Indiana, and what a great way to wrap up an unforgettable season! Although it was a short weekend, it was the perfect ending to months of hard work, dedication, and incredible youth rodeo talent.
Sunday’s schedule looked a little different than usual since it was National Little Britches Rodeo day. The adjusted lineup gave everyone the chance to see more age groups compete in the main arena, which was such a fun experience. Watching the younger contestants step up and give it their all truly highlights the future of rodeo.
This weekend, I spent Sunday at the second arena and had the opportunity to capture several goat tying events — and it was such a refreshing change of pace! Goat tying is always one of the most exciting youth rodeo events to photograph.
Celebrating the 2025/2026 Midwest Youth Rodeo Season
The Midwest Youth Rodeo Season may have been shorter than we’d like, but it was packed with growth, sportsmanship, and unforgettable runs. Being part of this community — whether behind the camera or cheering from the stands — is something I’m always grateful for.
To all the contestants, families, and organizers who made this season possible: thank you. Your dedication keeps the sport thriving and inspires the next generation of rodeo athletes.
While the season has wrapped up, summer rodeo runs are just around the corner. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again soon and capturing even more action in the arena.
Here’s to another incredible year of Midwest youth rodeo — and counting down the days until next season!
